I have a couple of sections in Garfield county. Does Garfield or Montana have a requirement for updating their records so I don’t lose my rights? I think I recall hearing that if not updated the rights the mineral rights revert to surface rights owners. TIA
Hi again jwm, there are older posts on this forum (2017) that indicate there is not a dormant minerals law in Montana. This appears to be more of an issue in North Dakota.
