My family has acreage in Walker County off of FM 405. It is leased and we have been given a right away agreement to sign. The oil company is offering 25 cents a barrel for our water after they recoup the cost of drilling the water well. Is this in line? Based on what I have read, the average well uses between 2- 4 millon gallons of water. On the low end this would only be around 25k for our water less the well cost. Afraid that would net us little or nothing.
