3 horizontal wells just went up West of Nueces River and North of Simmons. How many leased acres are included in each unit when horizontal drilling and dividing mineral rights? There are 3 wells close to each other. One is 300 feet from my home. One oil and 2 gas.
It depends primarily on what the lease says and also the spacing rules for that particular field.
I looked on our lease but all it said was that with horizontal drilling the lessee can pool up to 640 acres should they choose.
