You have asked a very technical question. It will depend on whether it is vertical or horizontal, and the formation, and the type of frack used, and a lot of other factors. I would start with the spacing regulations in your state as a guideline. From there, it really takes an expert to refine how much a typical well is draining.

I saw a recent post that showed a picture of the Astrodome, and pointed out a single vertical well may drain an area the size of the Astrodome 7000 feet underground.

Since a fractured horizontal well can go sideways for over a mile, it can replace 20-30 vertical wells.
