How long from spud to production?

I noticed that this well VILLAGE 1-15-10XHW was spud 3-12-22. About how long does it usually take before wells are completed and start producing? I know this can vary widely, but was just curious.

Huge ballpark answer here… A two section horizontal well can take about four-five months to drill and complete. The drilling part is fairly quick, but the frac and completion needs to wait for crews and equipment which are in shorter supply due to the Covid time frame, loss of crews, supply chain issues, etc. The wells can start producing earlier if they are frac’d immediately. Then it takes about five months to do the title work for the hundreds of owners in the two sections and send out division orders. They are supposed to start paying you in 180 days from first sales. You can watch for the well on the OTC Gross production site. Gross Production. You can put in the well name or the location of the bottom hole.

So spud to bank can be “about” 10-11 months. If they are drilling more than one well, then the time frame will be longer.
