We currently have two current leases in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. They were both researched by a landman who contacted us. I was wondering how would be the best way to research mineral rights both in Oklahoma and Texas.
Thanks for any help.

Richard:
In my opinion, the best way to research mineral rights is going to the County Clerkâs office in the county where the minerals are located and conduct your research at this location.
The best way is to pay an experienced title abstractor or attorney, especially if your interest is a working interest, not a mineral or royalty interest. I would not recommend hiring a title company to research a mineral ownership unless they have a specialist in that type of research (very, very few of them do).
