How do I find mineral rights my deceased parents had in OK

My father inherited the mineral rights to property that was owned by his father and grandfather. I would like to find out where the land is located, which the mineral rights were passed on to my father and uncle. My father’s name was Elbert Dunlap Perry and his brother’s name was Oscar Guy Perry.

The first place to look is on www.okcountyrecords.com if in OK. www.TexasFile.com for Texas. It is free to look and costs a small fee to print. Hopefully their probate documents were filed properly in the county where the minerals are located. You may have to go back to the Grandfather’s name. I use the Advanced Search option for the OK site.

Which state did the grandfather live in? Where are the minerals located?

It appears they owned in Murray County.

Try www.okcountyrecords.com Advanced search. Use Perry, Elbert in the search. I see the probate order. Look at the other two records. Looks like the heirs deeded their tracts to other heirs.

For about $8 you can pull records from Murray County. Looks like properties were sold. You would need to review the deeds to see if they reserved the mineral interests. Results for “Name: perry, elbert” in Murray | OKCountyRecords.com | County Clerk Public Land Records for Oklahoma
