I cannot contact most of the companies that OCC and OTC have as the operators of the wells and a lot of them are out of business but are not labeled as orphan or abandoned wells please help I would appreciate it, God bless.
If the wells are orphaned or abandoned, then the operators likely are not very interested anymore. The leases would have expired on their own terms from lack of production.
You can do a search on the OCC in the well record area and get a list of the wells with 1002A completion reports and compare to the list of the 1003 P&A. The difference is the wells that were completed, but not yet plugged.
