How can I check status of rights?

Hi -- my Aunt and sister and I inherited O&G mineral rights in Weld Cty, CO, and signed a lease with Contex Energy (Denver) in June, 2010. Haven't heard anything back from them. We're wondering how can we know if there has been any exploration, or if there are producing well(s), and if so, whether we should be receiving any payments. We're all out-of-state, and am concerned that if a well was drilled and was producing, how can we know if the producers are following state law and reporting properly, and not just quietly keeping us uninformed?

I can provide the site information if that is helpful to anyone that can help us with information.

Many thanks!

You could call the lessee and ask them what is going on.

As per their website ... Contex Energy Company is an energy services broker providing oil & gas Landmen consulting services. Since 1983, we have specialized in the leasing and acquisition, title, curative, and due diligence land phases of oil & gas exploration.

Be prepared to give them the legal description of your property.

Good luck,
