My mother owns an undivided interest in mineral rights in the N2 NE4 Sec 31-18N-5W in Kingfisher County, OK. She receives royalties for the Lincoln North Unit TR38 and TR39 wells. I’m trying to determine if she should be receiving payments for these horizontal wells: Beowulf 1805 5-31MH, John Pollard 31-18-5-2H, Lincoln North Unit 55-2HO, and Lincoln North Unit 54-3HO. I can find information on the OCC Well Data, but I’m not sure how to decipher it. Thanks for any help.
It may depend upon her original lease and if it was all depths. Contact the Division Order department for both Mach Natural Resources and Diversified. Try Mach first. Be ready with her owner number and what tracts she is getting paid on now.
The response I received from the operator stated that they distribute revenue based on tract factors, not by the well. They say my mother only owns in tract 38 and 39. I’m not sure what area these tracts cover. The well is Lincoln North Unit 54-3HO. The Spacing order is 119269 which is very old and references waterflood units. I’m still learning about this process but not sure how a permit to drill approved in 2022 uses a spacing order from 1980’s.
Here is the unitization link. Page 3 has a map. Pretty fuzzy, but zoom into section 31 and the NE4 is tracts 38, 39 and 39A . P 101 has the description. A better map is on p 91. See if her tract factor is the last decimal of the page or half of it since she only has the north half. My understanding is that if there is production from any well in the waterflood that is in those three reservoirs she will get a proportion of them according to the decimals set out in the unit order. They just don’t list the wells. (Beowolf is in the Topeka so she might not be getting paid on it. )
Yes, the spacing units can last for decades and decades unless changed by the commission! The waterflood unit is for the Big Lime, Oswego Line and Mississippi Lime.
