HORIZONTAL SPACING RELIEF IN Sec 6, Town 6N, Range 3 W, McClain

Can anyone help to explain, what is and the significance of, The NOTICE OF HEARING I received from the CCO for the Applicant "Eagle Exploration Production" regarding the

RELIEF SOUGHT: HORIZONTAL SPACING" ?

It seems upon reading that they are requesting to establish 640-Acre Horizontal Drilling and spacing. (I thought this was normal).

I've got rights that are leased in this area, but have no experience at this. Any insight is much appreciated.

Thank you.

This is normal procedure. Vertical wells can have different spacings depending upon depth, pressure and geology of the reservoir. Horizontal wells are usually 640 acres, but can be less as I have seen 320. If a reservoir zone has not been spaced in the past, it must be spaced by the OCC before it can be drilled.

Thanks for the insight. I appreciate.
