Help to identify mineral acreage in Divide County

My dad seems to have acquired 10 mineral acres in Divide County, ND and never mentioned it to his 4 kids. We were contacted by a landman with a reasonable verbal offer but never heard back. Is there a service to help us get the legal description & what are costs involved?

You will need to do one of two things:

1.) Lease your lands and let the Oil Companies Landman determine your mineral interest through research of records in Divide County

2.) Find an Attorney, this can get pricey. Because you only own 10 acres, I would suggest letting the oil company do the research

- We offer to purchase minerals if you want to go that route.

Or you could just call the landman back and ask him the legal description, he’ll know it, you did get his name an number, didn’t you?

LOL- life is never that simple. 4 heirs all in different cities. One took the call, told her lawyer husband who agreed to follow up on behalf of others. Months go by and no one can find original information other than the landman's name: Trevor Baer. SN: AFU

thanks!
