Correction: Wednesday, March 13th is the correct date.

I would say this was worthy of opposition. Presumably those force pooled would receive 1/6 royalty and the 300% of costs would come from the remaining 5/6. Fat chance of seeing much beyond the 1/6 royalty interest.

The truly chilling part of the bill " That when an owners mineral interest is under lease, the forced pooling agreement imposed by the RRC is superior to, and can modify any preexisting leases or division orders". I can see where this can go very wrong without even trying.

It is unconscionable to me that our elected officials would consider passing this bill that is a detriment to Texas mineral and royalty owners. I spent a great deal of money hiring an oil and gas lawyer to protect my interest when leasing and don't want to see the legislature alter my lease pooling provisions by the stroke of their pens!

If our elected officials would pass this bill, it tells me they are too weak on property rights in general.

What is TIPRO doing about this?
