Has any one had to work WIth Gold Mountain OIl and Gas about running Pipe Line Through their Property

This company wants to run a pipeline through the northeast section of our property and has been extremely difficult to deal with. We cannot come to terms on property damages - it has nothing to do with the price that they are offering per rod, we just want our land protected. Any knowledge or input that you may have had would be appreciated.

Sorry guys, the company is Glass Mountain, not Gold Mountain.

I haven’t personally heard anything about a pipeline. May I ask what Section Township and Range your property is located?

Do not have exact legal description but it is approximately 3 miles north of Waukomis then 3 miles east! After additional research Glass Mountain is owned by two other large companies. Joint venture SemGroup and Gavilon they are taking pipeline to Cushing. Since my family was unable to reach an agreement with them for easement right of way they have filed (Petition for Condemnation) saying they have power of eminent domain. Can they do that? Doing more Internet research but thought someone in forum might know.

Oh my, that does sound serious. If they are attempting to claim eminent domain, then you might want to consider consulting with an attorney who deals in such cases. I wish I could be of some help to you Shan, but if it were me, then that’s what I would do. Hope things go your way!

What county are you in Shan?

I might be able to point you to a good attorney in the area.

I am an attorney, but may be too far away to be much use to you.

Thanks for the thoughts I actually live in Florida. My brother in Oklahoma has retained an attorney in Enid. I hope he is up to the challenge.

Best of luck Shan!! Hope things turn out your way.

If you want a second opinion call David Henneke, Attorney in Enid.

Tell him Matthew McBee told you to call.
