FYI, Mexico will study “unconventional” gas drilling, according to Socialist president Gloria Sheinbaum. Sheinbaum, PhD climate scientist & climate alarmist, avoided using the F-word “fracking” in her announcement April 2026. Sheinbaum promised Mexican drilling will be environmentally benign, using less chemical proppants than (U.S.) drilling “100 meters from our border”.
Mexico depends on U.S. natural gas, purchasing more than any other country. Mexican oil & gas production is steadily declining due to corruption & mismanagement, and Sheinbaum previously reduced planned oil production 10%.
