I live in California and have mineral rights in sections 03 and 04 of Township 16N Range 4W. We have a lease that was signed on 9/16/09 for two years on section 04. We received two checks from the producing company that amounted to little of nothing and then they stopped. I am trying to verify that a well actually exists. They are pooling that section and after attempting to contact the land man numerous times and listening to the answering machine with a recording that sounds like it was recorded in the kitchen, I have concerns that a well is only on paper and someone knew that pooling was in the near future. With that being said, can anyone tell me if I can get GPS coordinates that will let me verify an existing well?
I guessed Logan County, Oklahoma, but it helps if you specify it.
There is a pooling application on 4-16N-4W. Is your name on it or the previous owner. (I don't see a Graham listed). I see a Jay C Graham leasing in 2009.

I do see you on the spacing order. And a trust listing for Jay C.

Being on the spacing order and not the pooling order is generally an indication of being held by production.
There are 3 active wells on that section. Ryland 1, Mosier 1, and the Mosier 1-4.
What do the check stubs you received say?
Thanks Rick that is a lot of help. I have identified three wells from "Flash Earth" with their GPS coordinates. Now I need to see how that will affect our 3/16 interest in the production.

Is this the JC Graham lease in 2009
Yes. Jay is my brother.
From looking at the deed from your dad.

So you basically have the N/2 of section 3-16N-4W and the S/2 of section 4-16W-4W based on the above.

You should be getting paid on the two Mosier wells, but they are not producing much. Your checks may only come once a year.

Twenty / Twenty is listed in the pooling order. I don’t see an assignment from GLM.
Your 2009 lease ties to the API 3508320373 Mosier 1-4. Unless it was the gaps in production as I don’t see anything that would have changed the status to require a new lease in 2009. It has remained pretty consistent since then.
My best guess is that they are considering you held by production on both your interests in 4-16n-4W. While not the best lease, at least it is a 3/16. We are held by a few at a 1/8.
Thanks again Rick. I need to get my Phd in oil knowledge like you have.
