I received a notice that Hilcorp Energy is seeking to create a unit and to force pool owners in Louisiana. I looked on the map. My property appears to be approximately 250 yards from the border of the unit. Does the fact that I received the notice indicate I am affected by the proposal and the actions it describes? Is there something I should do to protect my rights? Do minerals typically exist outside the strict confines of the unit? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I feel like a fish out of water in this area.
