I posted an inquiry yesterday for a friend but didn’t have enough info. My friend has 5 mineral acres in the James Smith Survey abstract #709 (Rusk County, TX). They are being offered a lease for 3 years. Can someone give me a range to know what a good offer would be for them? Thank you.
Find out if the energy company/producer plans on drilling a vertical or horizontal well? Leases for horizontal wells can go for more bonus money than a vertical well. For royalty rates I do know that 22 1/2 % was the going rate for Cherokee County a couple years ago. Thanks for helping your Friend.
