What is the best way to get an oil & gas company to drill on my land? There is oil and gas wells that are producing on adjacent properties, so there is oil/gas on the land. Does anyone have advice on how to get the process started with oil/gas companies?
There maybe a lot of reasons that you have not been approached to lease. Or if you have leased your property and it may not have been worked. Is there pipeline infrastructure in place? You may be stranded. Bringing a property into production is a very expensive project. If the market for the product does not merit this expense, then you just have to wait until it does. Also, those properties that are producing in the area may be on a different geological structure. No company invests money to lose money. In the end, the oil and gas companies will approach you when the time is right. Until then, just have faith.
