Getting a Signed Lease from Range Resources

I've signed a lease with Range resources in PA-Washington County. - 2 questions

1. Is it common for Range to change the acreage amount in your lease after you signed it?

2. Range says they don't sign their leases therefore I cannot get a copy of the lease with a Range signature- how do you have a legal and business agreement where I sign in good faith and Range doesn't sign the lease or give me a copy with their signature. Has anyone had similar experience?

Earl, if they paid you, that makes the lease binding whether they signed it or not.

Earl, I’ve had it both ways…one agreement was not signed by the company but I did get a copy of it unsigned and the other agreement with a different company signed it because I had the attorney stipulate such in the agreement and I got a copy of that one also.

Thanks for the replies- Has anyone got a copy of their Lease signed by Range??

Your question has been answered. I don't think that you understand the answers.

It is not necessary for Range to provide you with a signed copy for the lease to be valid or binding on them. It is also not uncommon for the lessee to not sign it. If you have signed the lease and it is properly notarized and returned to them, and they have paid you, forget about it. They have no legal obligation to do anything else for you in that regard. They do have a legal obligation to comply with the terms of the lease that you executed and returned to them.
