I was wondering if anyone has tried to sale/lease their geothermal rights or was contacted regarding this matter. Most of these sales seem to be be from public/BLM lands but can’t find many information for private party.

Geothermal research is ongoing. OU in Oklahoma is investigating the use of abandoned wells for geothermal purposes. Current legislation is pending. Not sure about other states.
Thanks for response, I’m located in mountain west area and heard lots of geothermal activity nearby. However no one really talked about geothermal leasing/loyalty on private land.
Meanwhile I just saw a private party trying to do geothermal lease at OR on Efficient Markets and will probably check with them to see if this works.
