I have been reading about a number of wells in Dimmit/Zavala counties are now going to the Georgetown formation which is under the Buda. our lease is for rights to the Buda Shale. does this means the Georgetown formation is off limits to drilling? can another company come and lease the land under our producing wells and exclude all shale plays above the Georgetown and only drill to the Georgetown.
does anyone think the Georgetown is the 'next big thing"?
