Geophysical Survey

We here on highway 237 in Fayetteville county has been offered $20/ acre for geophysical surveying by a local company. Is this reasonable?

I’m assuming that work is being done for Geosouthern. Some folks in the west end of Washington County but not far from your location say they’ve pushed them to $25/acre and one guy who refused their offer said they came back at $30 but he still said no.

If you decide to sign a permit I’d several special provisions be added to their standard wording…a time limit like 6 months to use the permit or it terminates, pay the full agreed amount before they enter the property, no work done during wet weather that could cause ruts and no work done within an agreed distance of any water wells or houses.

You might get more response if you go up to Counties at the top of the page, pull up the section for Texas and then Fayette County and post your question there.
