Gas rights

I have an old natural gas well in land we own in Mid-Michigan. Per our deed our mineral rights seem to be intact. Can I mine my own gas? Can I sell and or transport it without too much red tape? Is it worth it? According to my propane bills I would think so.

If the well is currently producing your mineral rights are most likely held by production. I think that you would find it full of red tape and very difficult for an individual to execute. Good luck to you.

One of my leases state I can use as much gas from the well as I want.

Is there sombody in the Standish Mi area who can test my well?

If it is an abandoned well you’ll need to contact the Michigan State DNR for permits no matter what you plan to do.

Thanks Joe:)
