Any input would be so welcome concerning Township 46N - Range 81 West 6th P.M.

My wife and I are looking over a offer of $20.00 per net mineral acre.

$774.00 representing full payment for 5 years paid up.

May I add this is a 309 acre premise with 1/8 royalty offered.

Also I see there is a 250% increase in gas production since 2000 in Johnson county.

We have not counter offered yet.....Any suggestions?

Dave, I don’t know what the “going rate” is for Wyoming, but here in ND’s Stark County, we got $55/ma with a three year and an additional two year option contract. You should also ask for a 3/16 or 1/6 royalty, 1/8 is not acceptable. Good luck, Bob

I realize it is a year since you posted your request. Now, I also have MR in Johnson County that I have been contacted about to lease. What have you decided to do? Do you know anything about what kind of production that may be progressing there? Has the name of the company been made known who bought up the leases?

I am not aware of production in that area (section 27) but check out Geo communicator on line, it has lots of info. concerning "leases producing". It took some time to nav. web site but not to bad.

My family has been contacted in regards to leasing our 320 acre parcel in Johnson County. I do not see any real current activity in this area. Has anyone else been contacted about Leasing in Johnson County? The first offer was for a five year lease, 17% royaly and $300.00 per acre. Any and all feedback welcome.

Update

We have recently leased our 320 acres in Section 12 46 80 to Black Hills Exploration & Production Inc. via Contex Energy.

I see Black Hills recently permitted two wells in Section 14-46-80. As far as I can determine this is the only activity within a 30-40 mile radius. One was permitted for the Frontier formation and the other for the Niobrara.

Does anyone know of any other activity in this area.
