Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

No Linda we have not received any information as to upcoming drilling.

Dare I say this but is there any good reason to even think of selling (assuming of course the obvious that one really needs the money).

Linda, that ad/article was cool. Thanks for posting it, I’ll take any info I can get any way I can get it!

If you were not leased you would probably be getting some papers to force pool you if they are going to drill. That’s not a bad thing and sometimes people get more bonus money and more options of the percentage of interest you might get. If you are leased I’m surprised you haven’t been getting mail as to them going to drill. Have you not?

Question for anyone or everyone: If the executor of an estate files incorrect paperwork, or perhaps intentional misleading paperwork on the distribution of mineral interests, can this be rectified even though it is 60 years later?

Has anyone ever had experience with this type of thing ? Thanks !!!

Linda,

Thanks for posting the article about BlueFire Drilling Technology(BlueFire Equipment Corporation). Very interesting.

Clint Liles

wow, sounds like I found a great time to discover my family had mineral rights. According to my chain of title we are in Sec 23 , Section 25, section 19 and section 10. I need to get my paperwork in order!

Has anyone seen division order paperwork from Newfield on Section 33 of 3n, 4w? I was thinking July or August would be about right.

This was sent to me and it may not be interesting to anyone else but thought some might want to stay informed as to what’s new in the oilfield. I realize it’s an advertising but it mentions Garvin Co. drilling so what the heck!

Thanks, M Barnes. I have 1H-33. I will contact Newfield to see how they are coming along with the division orders.

Susie…it’s good if you like it and I’ll like it a lot if it were mine! You are right in the thick of things and Section 20, 3N,4w is a few miles from yours but it’s all in a hot area. If they are not drilling on you they are probably drilling on your neighbors. Do you have yours leased?

Susan, it is important to include the township and range as well as the section, each township/range has 36 sections.

Newfield had a pooling order dated November 1, 2012. They have a year to drill. $1800 1/8 etc. Cause 201203951-T Order No. 603721

That is the Mashburn 1H-4 (completed 8/24/12) and Mashburn 1H-33 (completed 1/17/13)wells.

I’m pretty sure they can Rhonda.

Question…My family and I hold surface and mineral rights…undivided. The land has been in our family for generations. My question is, can a family member sell their mineral rights without first offering it to the other family members?

Rhonda,

They can unless there are restrictions on the deed (rare).

Susie, your numbers are interesting. I’m not that good of a records keeper but those are fun numbers to look at. Maybe that will convince some thinking of selling to reconsider… Thanx for sharing

Richard, surface near n. Sec. Line of 33 turning north and horizontal into sec. 28.

does anyone know what is going on with Sec.23,T3N,4W Garvin county.?

Hutch, Will you look at Clint Liles post above pertaining to 7/24/13 drill approval with 2 links and explain if the surface well location will be on north or south side of Sec 33 3N/4w to drill the other 4 wells on Sec.28 3n/4w?

Hello all, I finally made some head way on what sec/twn rng and discription of the mineral rights that my sis and I own that are currently leased Here they are: 4-1N-3W Lot 2-SGI, NW SE NE, N2 SW NE these are leased to Continental. 4-1N-3W Lot 3, Lot 4 N3 S2 NW Leased to McEnco. We have received notice of pooling for 33-2N-3W W2 SE SW , 33-2N-3W NE SE SW. With that being said any action in these areas? McEnco wants us to sign the lease in the forced pooling, I believe Newfield is the Oil Company? Should I lease to McEnco or directly to Newfield this is the confusing part. Help!!! and Thank you!
