Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

The link above from Clint on 5/22 is the Marathon, Davis Trust permit to drill

Hi everyone, I’ve learn so much from this forum thanks for all your help.

A while back Rick helped me translate my grid coordinates into gross acreage.
S15 T2N R1W W2 NE = 80 Acres
S15 T2N R1W N2 NW SE = 20 Acres
S15 T2N R1W SE NW SE = 10 Acres

So I understand that this represents gross acreage and not net mineral acreage. Where can I confirm our net mineral acreage? Cambria is offering $1,250.00 an acre and their research shows that we own 27 net mineral acres. Does that sound right?

It looks like all the drilling activity is to the west of us, do you think the drilling will move east towards our location? Seems like we are just out of the scoop areas.

It may be right but you really don’t know without having someone research the ownership.

If I were selling, I would:

  1. Hire someone to determine the ownership and document the title chain.

  2. Market the minerals to other buyers instead of those that sent me an offer.

In the past year Cambria has sold Garvin Co properties to:

SHORELINE OPERATING
CONSUL PROPERTIES
INTER-STATES OIL & GAS INC

27 acres is enough to spend $600-$1000 getting the title documentation in order and selling through an auction company like EnergyNet.

Thanks for the information Michael!

Question on the OCCE website there are notations beside each well listed. For instance I got that AC means Active but cannot seem to determine what TM stands for? Any help out there? Thanks in advance.

I’ve been neglecting updates to my pooling list for Garvin County but got caught up today; again, this is a list of pooling orders for the county I keep in order to have a sense of where the numbers are when someone asks to lease. Comments welcome:

Hey, Chris…I really like that! I wish you would do one for Stephens Co. Would ya? Huh? Huh?

To Ron Mc. Hi Ron and thanks for the many bits of info you add to the forum. On may 23 you had commented on the facts of the Campbell well production,I am having no luck tracking down those figures, additionally for the Tina well. Is it possible for you to tutor me in the avenues to procure these research figures? Thanks

Anyone have any information on how the horizontal well in 21-3N-4W is going (Continental CD #201206713)? I understand they were fracking it 3-4 weeks ago. Just trying to get a sense in advance of leasing or getting pooled on an interest in 16-3N-4W. Thanks!

Linda, I’ll do a pooling summary for Stephens - glad you like the Garvin version!

Chris A little delay I would hope. After the well in 21 I’m ready for a good one in 16, I hope. The protest is by Chesapeake .

The CD # is really not necessary. A search by location will get you a complete Judicial Order history of the section with each item having it’s own set of related documents including protests. The Hatfields and McCoys have nothing on Continental and Newfield! Leave off section number and your search includes the whole township. Reverse the chronological order and it’s a good way to get the latest filings in a township at a glance. You will find it there long before it shows up on a docket.

Dale I sent my # in a friend request. Write down the # before you accept the request or you may lose it.

Hey Rick, thanks for the info. We have a lawyer in Oklahoma looking into this.

Is there somewhere I can look up our net mineral acres. The probate and trust documents only lists gross acreage.

21 has been producing at 600 BOD & 5,000 MCF a day for about two weeks. Protest on 16.

Ron, thanks for the numbers. What should ā€œProtest on 16ā€ mean to me? (It is just bouncing off the empty metal where my brain should be). I’ve seen these generic protest letters show up in cases, but they never explain what the issue is or how it was resolved.

Thanks Chris…Appreciate It! I guess sometimes it helps to beg! lol

Pooling hearing for 16-3n-4w moved to 6/18/13

David, Looks like to me that the well pad will be in Sec. 18 but the well (perforations) will be in section 7 3n,4w, in which case I believe the royalty owner for section 7 will get all the dough. Not positive but it sounds that way. (I’m never positive about anything) lol

Hang onto your hats, looks like increased density hearings for four more Gregory wells in 28-3N-4W. Also four more extra long Kelly wells 35-3N-4W and 2-2N-4W (50/50)

Thanks Michael and Linda. I was thinking this, but not positive.

What is an increased density hearing??
