Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Sandra…That sounds like a wonderful lease to me especially if you didn’t have to pay the lawyer too much! I think you will be thrilled with the 1/4 if they get as good of a well on you as they are getting in your area!

Oh that’s good to hear Linda! I will keep my fingers crossed that it works out well. Thank you again!

Charles…Do you know the name of the well? Not able to talk to Newfield friend for a couple of weeks but will ask around if you know the name. So many of the company people don’t really know the wells by description but only by name or directions to the well. Would that be over around the Pernell or Foster Communities or further down toward Ratliff City?

Or maybe closer to Elmore City?

Maybe they were still having problems when the report was filed. Not a bad well but not very impressive for a 10,000ft lateral.

I am enjoying reading all your comments on this forum. I am back in the country after a month, and am wondering what information any of you may have for the Newfield well in section 3 of 2 N, 3W? It should be completed by now, after having a little water removal problem. I would appreciate comments…thanks.

Charles, is that the Floyd 1H-3X ? Here is the Completion Report:

Floyd1H3x.pdf

Michael, thanks for the completion report reference…not a bad well at all. Would the fact that all water is not out have impact on production? If so, do you have a gut feeling of how much impact? Thank you. Rex

Does anyone have a map of this “grand canyon” spot covering garving co.?

Tica, look at the Scoop map on page 4 and then the cross section on page 5.

Michael, I am told that there could be 4 or 5 more wells drilled in the future like the Floyd 1H-3X on the same section. If they all turn out like this well, the royalty owners will do very well.

Greg, go back to my message of 4-13, you have a well!, the Lang 1-20H, If you are leased all you can do is sit tight until completion information is released. Continental’s first quarter report will be issued next week, maybe they will mention it then.

Grergory…I’m not sure exactly were Sec. 20 sits (or sets) in there whether it is along the road that goes to my friends house or not. There are all kinds of wells being drilled for about 6 miles down that way with a rig or location/well nearly on every section. But I don’t know if 20 is along that road or one mile to the north of it. I’m really surprised you haven’t received some kind of paperwork if they are doing or going to do any work on yours. Have you not? If I can figure out exactly where that is I’ll check on it. Richard Wilson did we decide your 28 is on the north or south side of that road? If I could remember that, It would help me get my barings (or bearings or ?) straight. lol Hutch, get out your dictionary and help me with my spelling! lol

OOPS, I see Hutch already had it covered as usual. He stays on top of things!

Linda don’t worry about it, you get your point across, too bad this thing doesn’t have spell check

I don’t believe I’d accept 1/8 under any circumstances but 1/5 would be desirable to me. I wish I had had that option or better still 1/4. Best Wishes!

Does anyone k.ow the status on sec 20 3N 4W? I got 10 acres out there that I leased to continental resources and I ain’t hard anything yet. Aren’t their wells up already? I know that’s the scoop, according to a few others and the sweet spot. Let me know because I’m being urged to sell all my mineral rights away. Let me know something, Linda, Hutchison, how bout it?

The section to the west of you was force pooled at $1700 (1/8) and the one to the south of you was force pooled at $1500 (1/8), so you might want to stall. Also, section 7 is on the edge of the current trend, so you might not get quite as much. I would suggest waiting for the force pool. It is pending. It was supposed to be on April 29, so you should hear something soon. Marathon just got the location exception, so they are the drilling operator.

Thanks for the info, Mr. Foley. You have inspired me to do more research. Generally, my family’s position has been to go for the 1/4 royalty, but I was told by a landman that it was not available on this property. I guess I will look into it further. Thanks again for the tip on the dates to search.

Anyone have any positive or negative experiences with Midtown Energy in OKC? I have a lease offer here for section 7-3N-4W with $900 bonus, 1/5th royalty on production. Any thoughts?
