Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

1N 1W Booster Station near Hennipen. The equipment has been removed. Anyone know if the pipeline into 1N 1E was ever operational

I need to be trading in the UK.

OK realized prices are usually somewhat lower than WTI but different for each paying operator due to their contracts and the quality for each well.

For example: Newfield Q2 STACK realizations Slide 7 of their Q2 report

Oil (% WTI) 96%

Gas (% Henry Hub) 90%

NGLs (%WTI) 43%

WTI was at $46.72…someone on here told me that the quality of oil down in our part of the SCOOP was somewhere in between that of the Brent and the WTI. Is that right?

Hmmm…OK thanks M.

Tom,

Maybe I missed something, but why did you post info on the Johnson #1-17, and are you sure the description is correct?

Frank,

Yes, It is in Garvin County and the info was directly from the OCC. Maybe the commission screwed up?

Thanks for reading,

Tom Ed

Read it in the Oklahoman this morning. Just like you posted it, Mr Moore.

My mistake (thought you might have meant 3w). Range 3 east is in Garvin County, but outside the heart of the horizontal shale activity.

Where Hwy 76 south of Lindsay meets Hwy 29 going west for 5 miles, A company named Dawson is doing seismograph work and has been for a while. Any one know purpose of the activity?

Referencing 3D Survey ans. The Woodford and Springer are known factors to the layman but was wondering if there was knowledge, held by one who might know, of another formation of interest since this area has already had considerable 3D activity in the last 5 or 6 years years.

Here is one allowable for gas that I found. The OCC sets them for each well if it is going to be different.

52-29 C. For thirty (30) months from the date of first production, a discovery gas well, as defined in this subsection, subject to the provisions of this section, shall have a production allowable which shall be the greater of one thousand three hundred (1,300) MCFD or sixty-five percent (65%) of the absolute open flow (AOF) as specified by the Corporation Commission. Such discovery well allowable shall not be available for any discovery gas well wherein two (2) or more separate common sources of supply are commingled and one (1) common source of supply would not qualify a new gas well as a discovery gas well, as defined in this section.

These may change over time. This is an old citation.

Not so sure about the citation for oil. It is set by the OCC, but having trouble finding the rules. It probably changes by reservoir, depth, type of well, etc.

Anyone else out there have the exact current citations?

I also saw the seismograph sign east of that intersection a few miles (like it was starting from that sign and going west)…suppose it went to that 5 miles west of the intersection Richard was referring to. Hope that means they are starting more drilling in that area. About 3 sections south of that intersection would be my preference! To be more specific ole 34 2n4w is my choice! “In My Dreams”

Is there a maximum # of barrels allowed to be produced by a well in Oklahoma? And how about Natural Gas…is there a maximum allowable?

3D survey

They may be shooting infill surveys for Woodford and Springer or looking for the southern extent of the Meramec play. Also, with newer technology, they may be looking for subtle faults if they can’t figure them out from well logs and earlier surveys. Now that the Woodford and Springer shales have proved productive, other shales are likely being considered for the future when prices are higher.

M Barnes, Really do appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

3D land surveys were notoriously “noisy” due to lots of factors “back in the old days”. With improved technology, they may be able to get a better survey this time around. Could be lots of answers.
