Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Price is as of the sale date, so will change from month to month. Generally, your stub will have sales listed a month behind for oil and one-three months for gas depending upon the company and how they meter their gas. You get the percentage of the production that belongs to your section where it is perforated, so long wells are split up.

Thanks, Hutch. My daughter lives in south Moore area (against my wishes) close to Indian Hills Rd and it tore down her stockade fence but fortunately she was in Tulsa last night. My son lives in central Norman and he said there was significant tree damage in the yard but no damage to the house. I rode out the storm in Lexington @ work with no problems except some senior citizens with high anxiety but all is well on my end for the most part. I think my daughter lives fairly close to Rick from what he has mentioned in the past.

Tulsa was safe for last night, but flooding and tornadoes in Norman/OKC did some damage. Another storm watch today. Welcome to OK in May….

I hope Rick, Vicki, Karen and all of our other friends are safe after the terrible storms up around Norman and OKC.

Martha are you up there too?

Glad to hear everyone is o.k.

That’s 96.1 FM

Severe storms with some tornadoes and flooding started going across the state again. You guys and gals around here keep an eye and an ear. For the ones in your cars 96.1 has the weather broadcast and warnings. They also have a free weather app. for you with smart phones. Lightening starting here so getting off of my laptop because has to be plugged in. May have to get that tablet out that Rich was so kind to get me while I was in the hospital. Thanks again for that

A wild Friday and Saturday down all the way to Austin! Hope somebody up there in Oklahoma has a shelter like my granny in Tuttle used to have.

There is a title issue in 33.

Thanks, Vicki for the feedback…maybe I’ll get mine in the next day or so, then. I guess you could still collect the 6% as they were a day late? Do you know how to go this, maybe just contact Newfield and ask what they require? Best, Julie

The issue is not that the DOs are late. It’s the first payment that will be late and if they pay this month it might cover them as first sales were in Nov. I simply requested my interest on the Williams via a phone call and got it about 3 months later but my brother did the same and never did get his. He just let it go

Oh, I thought the actual date of sale mattered, but I see your point about how anytime in May might cover them. I guess the amount of interest is a compelling reason to either try to collect or not. Thanks again. Best, Julie

I have minerals in Garvin County, Section 33 2N 3W (Covel). So far no division orders, and it’s been 6 months since date of first sale. I’ve called Newfield a couple of times (though not recently), and they said to expect my DO in April or May, within 6 months of date of first sale. I don’t have any title problems, so that’s not it. Here’s the latest OCC data: http://imaging.occeweb.com/OG/Well%20Records/1DD2CF64.pdf Are any of you in this section getting royalties yet? Or even division orders? I think Vicki F is in this section, too. Anyone else? Best to all, Julie

Julie, I received my DO’s today. There is a title problem so if they pay interest it will only be 6%

They usually call the date of sale the end of the month even if they started in the middle. So any time in May for the check will cover them. If you have no title issue, and they don’t pay until June, you can ask for 12%. 6% if title issue.

Thanks, Martha, for clarifying the time frame. Vicki, you meant that you have a title issue with your minerals, so that would be 6% if they pay in June. I should have no title problem with mine, so if they pay in June, I’d request 12%. Good to know what to do in case. Thanks again. Best, Julie

Vicki, the completion report is up for Hays 1 H-5XX, section 20 2N3W. Section 17(46%),8(47%) and 5(6%). Not as long as planned but I’m not complaining. Oil 2075, Gas 2830. Pretty good, right.

Karla, I went to the OCC website and viewed the completion report. This is what we’ve been waiting on and it looks like very good news, indeed! I am so pleased with the results. Hope it holds up as long as the Williams did! Thanks for letting me know!

The choke is 1" diameter wide. They measure the opening in 64ths of an inch, so 32/64ths is 1/2 inch diameter. If they say 64, it means it is wide open. Hold your thumb and first finger together to make a “zero” or “OK”. Now squeeze it down so it is about an inch, then squeeze to half inch to get a visual. They open or shut the valve on the choke to regulate the flow to get the most helpful size to get the best production and use the natural downhole pressures to their advantage. “Choking back” (making the opening smaller) can help the reservoir last longer before they put it on a pump.

Can you send me the link for the completion report for the Hays 1H-5XXX I can’t seem to locate it.
