Garvin County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

P has just been talking to a friend of ours that says he has 40 acres of royalty just down the road from us and he has gotten four offers to purchase it just lately. The best was for $4,000. and that’s in 4n4w. P says that’s in the unit so don’t know how that would work???

Would that mean that 20 2n3w pooled for $1000. an acre? She got a 3/16th.

Karla, my section 17 is in 2N/4W Stephens County, the Poteet 1-17H completed in Feb 2012

Sorry, I meant to say that my mom in law owns 1/3 OF 1 and 1/2 acre in 20 2n3w not “1/3 or 1 and 1/2 acre”. Sorry! That should make better since.

Linda, hanging my head in shame, you caught me snoozing. You are correct 20 and 29. I have removed my erroneous post.

Thanks Karla…I think!

Well Linda they could always buy or sell although an offer we had was based on 3/16th when all we have is 1/8. Of course they could adjust the amount accordingly. I think they should have more knowledge of where these units are what that means. They could save on mailing lease offers and cut down on phone calls on stuff that they can’t possibly lease.

Lynden, you sure are right. The order I found and linked to was just rules for a subset of the two units – just adds to my confusion since it describes rules for the two units but then describes an area that is less than the original orders.

Hutch and David…Are ya’ll taking about the Studdard well being drilled from section 17 2n3w going through 20 2n3w and 29 2n3w? Last I heard 17 was not going to be perforated in. You hear different now? That section 20 was the one where hubby’s mom was force pooled and received $500. for her 1/3 or 1 and 1/2 acre. Until she got the pooling papers she didn’t even know she had that little piece of mineral rights. That rig has been drilling for quite a while now and I suspect they should finished soon. If you are talking about some other location just scratch all I just said. lol

Lynden, figuring out the HBP issue is, as I have posted, my big challenge at the moment – just a lot of digging in most cases since my records are incomplete.

Who are you getting your check from for 28-4N-4W?

You are killing me Hutch!

Chris, I think they were sent based on the spacing application. You would think these guys would have done some basic research to know what parts are in a unit.

North East Purdy Hart Sand Unit (NEPHSU) covers the entire section and is operated by Merit. The North East Purdy Springer Sand Unit covers SW,SW; NW, SW and SE,SW if you read them from right to left. Basically 3/4 of the SW 1/4 of the section. Merit also pays us on one well from the Springer. We also get something from that same quadrant from Sheridan , via EXCO, originally drilled by Anadarko in the Woodford. The one Springer well pays more than all the other wells combined.

Looks like Merit just refers to the units as NEPHU and NEPSU. My bad.

Chris I tried to upload the documents from the two units but the system won’t do it. The Hart doc is 3.15 Mb which is under the 5 Mb limit.

Rick or Ron, can you upload those so Chris can have them for his files. Purdy Hart and Springer.

Hutch or Rick, Could either of you check OCC for any documents pertaining to the Gregory 2H-28 in 3N/4W to be drilled by Newfield with S/H location on Sec. 33 3N/4W that might have been issued since the permit to drill was issued back around last of July or first of Aug? (Spud date, etc.)

Permit to drill Gregory 2H-28 3N/4W was 7-24-13.

Notification of Well Spud(Gregory 2H)

No completion report from OCC as of now…

Richard, I don’t see a rig located there. I would guess all 4 of those wells (2H-5H) are completed or very close to it as the last one was spud the end of August.

When is a completion report typically filed on a well? I was watching the well in the link below – vertical well drilled in July. The operator says it was “non commercial” but there is no completion report.

Richard…the only rig lights we saw over that direction at night were the three rigs on the Wright wells. I believe also that they may be finished with them (the drilling part anyway). You are right in that nobody goes over there except the ones working on the wells and you. Those roads are just too bad for me without my dune buggy or monster truck!!!
