We’ve recently been approached to lease and sell our interest in this section by multiple parties. Does anyone know the current/future activity in this area, lease bonus rates and/or price per NMA? Thanks!
Several companies are in that area leasing. Royalties range from 1/8th (worst) to 1/4th (best). Bonus amounts are not public.
Warwick Jupiter has filed for a Horizontal well in 5,6 1N-2W and 1-1N-3W. That is why you are getting attention.
They have also filed for pooling in section 5. The hearing date is March 10. You can go to pooling instead of leasing given the short time frame. Most of us would pick the highest royalty. You only have 20 calendar days in which to answer the pooling. Send by certified mail.
Hi Martha – I have acreage in sections 5 and 6 1N-2W and also 1-1N-3W. However, I have not received a pooling order. I have been contacted by a landman to lease our acreage in 5. Has a pooling order been issued or has a notice to pool been sent out? Thanks for your expertise!
The pooling case is 2026-000644 and the application was on 2/16/26. The hearing date was supposed to have been 3/10/26. I do not see an order yet. You can look up the case on the Electronic case filings on the OCC to see if your name is on the list. Error. (Hit the word ERROR)
There was a protest, so that slowed it down a bit.
