I received my division order and 1st check from Continental today. I just want to tell everyone that has mineral rights DO NOT give up hope.The landmen have been trying to buy my 20 acres for 45 years, but by not selling I think it will pay off in the long run. Keep the faith people. I would like to thank the people that have answered my questions on this forum. It has been very helpful.
Good for you! That check is probably for several months of royalties at fairly high prices. My advice is not to spend it all. The next checks will be for lesser amounts as volumes will normally decline and prices are low right now. Talk to your accountant about putting some aside for taxes for this year and next year. Consider giving some to charity to thank the Lord for allowing you to be a good steward of His resources.
