This is a courtesy letter before pooling. It essentially tells you what the pooling terms are likely to be. You don’t really need to answer it because if you pool, you must answer the pooling instead. Many of us take the highest royalty as it usually pays out much better in the long run. The bonus is small compared to the royalties for a well or wells over time. Be very watchful on the pooling time frame. You only have 20 days in which to answer.

Open letters and respond to pooling order options. Otherwise, you will be stuck with a 1/8th royalty.
