I was forced pooled on a well in North Dakota. Will I receive royalty payments from the first barrel sold or do I have to wait the 6 months before seeing the first check? Hess has just completed fracking and a workover rig is moving in.

I suggest that you google the NDIC website, go to Rules and Regulations, find NDCC-38-08-08 and read carefully. This will address your question. I believe that in ND, you receive the weighted average royalty that others in the spacing unit leased for or 16% from the first barrel, operator will decide. Most important, read up on that rule.
Kevin, you will have to wait as long as the leased people for the first check. The operator has 150 days after first sales whether you are leased or force pooled, to pay or they owe interest if you have marketable title.
