I was originally contacted by a company doing ancestry research for a few parcels where my grandfather retained the mineral rights after he sold the land. A few years later I received a lease agreement for different parcels than I was originally contacted about. Now I have decided to see if I can find any other parcels that may be out there. So my question is, does anyone know of a website for WV (Marion County) that would contain that information? Or offer a place to start. Thanks

The lease agreement should have given you a Map and Parcel number and you can look that up on the website listed above plus how many acres they are leasing from you. The company should have explained why they sent you the lease, if not, ask them. Depending on how many acres you own, you may want to have an attorney look at the lease. Additional information would be helpful in answering any question.
