Apologies in advance if this is a really elementary question… but I’m trying to locate a current lease for our property. I could have sworn I had it in my father’s old files - but it’s nowhere to be found. Can someone point me to a starting place online where I might be able to find it? Aside from calling the company directly I thought I might be able to get this on courthousedirect, etc? Many thanks. Jennifer.
Agree on checking Texasfile but normally the leasing company (lessee) only records a memorandum, not the full lease. Those memos document that there is a lease but normally show only the length (lease term) not the other details.
Going back to the Lessee may be the only way to get a copy of the full lease.
