I own the mineral rights to 13 acres in Fayette County Texas whichhas in the past been leased. I sold the land in increments over the years, but retained the mineral rights. I would like to be able to determine if that parcel of land is currently being leased and the present owners are improperly receiving payments. Can anyone point to a resource that would enlighten me as to the current lease status of this property?
call the county clerks office in LaGrange…they need address and the name of the person the minerals rights are in. they should be able to do this over the phone. If they show a company has the lease, you then need to call them and ask if they are paying out anything. Good Luck
