Fayette county eagle ford well drilling?

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHEN THERE IS GOING TO BE AN EAGLEFORD WELL DRILLED IN FAYETTE COUNTY, AND IF SO WHO IS GOING TO BE DRILLING THESE WELLS?

ERIC

Hey Eric,

I was looking at some permits and well reports recently at the TRRC website and found a few things I thought were interesting.

Enverest has a permit for their Flying Kyte 1-H that is currently drilling about 3.5 miles SW of LaGrange.

Here’s a link to that permit:

This well is permitted as an Austin Chalk well but it’s permitted for the horizontal to at around 12,500’ deep. From other well logs in the area it seems that the target might actually be testing Eagle Ford at this location.

For instance, Reasearch Exploration recently had a directional well completion report for their Ethel Mae well 1.5 miles NE of Rutersville and the formation tops listed on that report had Austin Chalk at 11,345’, Eagle Ford at 12,024’, Buda at 12,091’, Georgetown at 12.121’ and Edwards at 12,360’.

That Ethel Mae well was also interesting to me, as the pay zone was actually at around 12,500’ in the Edwards formation a full 500’ below the Eagle Ford and over 1,000’ below the Austin Chalk.

From these reports it appears that multiple stacked pay zones could be possibility for the area.
