Redhawk/EOG are paying out options on leases south of Blackshear and Parr. This includes the Andrews unit right below Parr. I do not have information about the Mystic unit above/north of Blackshear, but the unit above/north of Parr had leases expire.
This is good news for some, and matches the EOG map on the second quarter conference call presentation.
I have property on the North side of the Lavaca River. The river is our property line. Between 1295 and 957. Would this area be included? Thanks for all the info.
There is one full unit mapped out that is north of the lavaca river, right under the Blackshear unit, and right above/north of the Dicapro unit (not yet permitted, but Dicapro is north of the Rawlins unit) This one starts about 1000 feet west of fm 957 and heads west-northwest…this unit does not make it all the way to FM 1295…so depends where your tract is at…I forgot the name of this one, but will get it shortly.
There is more land west of this unit that ends at FM 1295, but this was for 1-2 units with north laterals…have not seen anything on that lately. Word on the street is that Matrix is looking at this land as well as Modern.
You can see the map of Lavaca county on the EOG second quarter presentation..on the EOG website. The units are shaded in the map.
As far as the official EOG map by unit with names and drawn to the exact lines through the tracts…this cannot be copied..but I have access to it. I have my own maps I have drawn up, but these also cannot be copied…all of my tracts are indicated in the units, and my anonymity is key to be able to continue to share on this blog.
yes, all the fill in units …which are the 2 units between CR306 pad and Francis pad (finished new pad site), 2 units between Francis pad and Maddox pad ( on CR 183 6 flags mark it), 2 units between Maddox pad and Rawlins pad (this contains the gas plant tract), and 2 units above the Rawlins pad.
Brisket------Looked at my maps again and you will be in the Dicapro unit since the Lavaca river runs through the middle of it…unless you are east of Cr 195…then you are in another unit. the Dicapro unit runs all the way west until it hits FM 1295 and the Matrix units.
Do you have any information about the area around Moravia specifically within the Jeremiah Brown Abstract? Is there a unit planned? Lease options picked up? Thanks!
Zero options being picked up east of FM 957 in Jeremiah Brown..no intentions in drilling that area based on Pecan pad results. FM 957 splits the J. Brown survey so those on the west side of 957 can have hope..but maybe not with Redhawk but with Modern or Matrix…but these 2 are staying closer to FM 1295 and looking at going up to 2 miles to the east…which might not include the west side of J.Brown…but things can change.
I had said several months ago, that I thought we would not have another EOG well drilled until rig 1209 comes back from the 9 gas wells it has to do to the SW of us. I did the math back then , and that would put it back here mid October…and here we are and crickets…
The CR 312 pad has been done for some time. I cannot tell how many wells were indicted on this one but it almost looks like they have 4-6 areas marked off…almost that pilot holes were drilled, but not the case. Only thing I heard here is that they might be waiting until the results of CR 306 4 wells…which they should know something now…I have not heard good, bad or indifferent. But, like I said before our area around here is very gassy, and operators brought up very little oil in wells around us (Cr 306)…but of course I am still hoping. I have minerals in this one, but no surface land, so I am being kept out of the “talk”.
LKranch–you are the only with Riley that indicated that EOG was going to do Kenobi and Alfaro…still hoping, but again they put the Kocian tract all in Bruhn and a smidge in Rawlins…so EOG doesn’t "have to ". Newer maps have been updated.
Flat Land has now recorded about 300 leases with more still to come…about 15,000 acres…about 12 units…they think they have the same thing in the ground that ran from Francis pad to Blackshear pad…heard that a couple of weeks ago…and that the test in this acreage is to start sometime in 2027…came from 2 sources that have been 100% correct so far.
EOG has 12 units left to drill and hold to finish all the holds it needs from CR306 to Blackshear , they have paid or are paying the options on these tracts, so they are more likely than not going to complete the “hold” by the end of 2027…but they will have to get busy soon…and need another rig to do the Flatland test…possibly the rig from Gonzales county.
If yall haven’t been by the production plant recently or the Francis pad, you should see how they have been cleaned up…
I have land located between two EOG pads in Lavaca County, and my lease expires in February 2027. Do you think EOG will release my land when the lease expires?
Pretty much far afield of the current discussion, but I drove by the pad adjacent to I10 just east of Flatonia and they have quite the impressive flare going. It’s not a flare per se because it’s coming out of a really big combustor but it was making enough smoke to grab TCEQ’s attention for sure.
I’m tuned out enough to not know the well name, operator, etc. so DYOR if interested. Sorry.
They will pay the 2 year option in January if they have not started drilling operations on the unit you will be in. There is no paperwork involved, and no one will contact you. You will just receive the check in the mail with a letter stating they have picked up the option.
Good morning all. I am in the Kocian lease and when I spoke directly with EOG a few months ago they planned to get back to Kenobi and Alfaro next year and yes it is correct that I am all in on Bruhn and Rawlins. So the only impact Keno to me is they shut down Bruhn and Rawlins a while they frac Kenobi and Alfaro. Now we all know things can change but for all those waiting, good luck.
