Father's estate

There are some mineral rights included in my dad’s estate which I became the executor of last week.

The mineral deed has this description: (W/2) (NW/4) Section 20, Township 6 North, Range 11 West, I.M.

How would I start to lease if anyone were interested? My dad leased the rights a couple of times but it was long ago.

Gene, that area has been pretty quiet since 2010. Red Oak Energy Partners and Questar E&P were leasing back then. Marathon Oil is very active in the township to the east.

Check the forum in various counties (Stephens, Garvin, Grady, Logan for comments on how to get them appraised for estate purposes).
