My brother and I recently started getting offers for some mineral rights to land we inherited from our father.
36 Township 11N Range 8W = 14,500 Acres
29 Township 11N Range 7W = 13,800 Acres
We had a lease agreement with Cimarex or Citizen Energy years ago but moved and stopped getting checks… just kinda forgot about it. Do these offers seem reasonable in the current market? Some others in the family with twice the land nearby are only getting $900-$1300 checks a few times a year.
If anyone has insight or advice I’d love to hear it.
