I have someone interested in purchasing mineral rights from John Durst Survery A-15. Is there any activity going around that area? What is fair market value rate for this area per acre?
anyone able to help me??
Hi Erica, Sometimes it takes a day or two for a reply on the forum. As a small-time royalty owner I can’t answer your question, but I think the general consensus is never sell mineral rights unless you need some immediate money. Anyone approaching you to buy knows more than you, knows there some value there and wants to get their hands on it. So usually best to wait for someone wanting to lease.
But i do hope there’s a reply here by someone more experienced than I.
Cherokee County is a real hot County at the present time! It’s mainly a deep Bossier/Haynesvile Shale Play. Depending upon the location makes a difference. Depending upon who is trying to lease it makes a difference. What part of the County is is located and how many net. mineral acres did they tell you that you own. Go Slow
