Just wanted to see if anyone could give me any insight; I have acreage, which is located approximately 50 – 75 miles north of the Eagle Ford Shale that is about 8 miles south of Lockhart Texas, Hays County, which is located just off of Hwy 183 or now sometimes called the new Austin Autobahn IH 130. Approximately 8 – 12 months ago, myself and a number of owners of surrounding properties were contacted by Charles Jason Reed with Petroleum Land Services who said that their company wanted to do some exploration in that area and that would be using newer technology that was described to me as a form of sonar screening / mapping rather than seismic. We were all sent oil, gas and mineral leases. Several of the other owners and I did some research and we felt that the terms were a little one-sided and open ended on their proposed lease contract, so we declined. My question is, has there been any discussion of the Eagle Ford Shale expanding north or have there been any discussions of other exploration in our area. We would certainly appreciate any feedback that you could give us.
