Everyone’s Sending Mineral Offers… But Who’s the Real Buyer?

Curious who the true “end-of-the-road” buyer is in the Delaware Basin, particularly Loving County.

There are obviously a lot of mineral acquisition groups sending letters and contracting deals, but most of those interests eventually get aggregated and sold.

Who actually has the deepest pockets in this area and ends up buying the large aggregated packages? In other words, who’s the 800-pound gorilla in Loving County minerals?

I’m looking to cut out the middleman and go directly to the source.

Permian Resources is a good bet as the “big dog” in the Delaware Basin - but I don’t think going to them directly to try to sell your minerals will do you much good. There is a reason that they work with all these mineral acquisition groups to chase down these minerals, run the title, etc.

Not worth them having their staff do all this work.

But good luck!

Nor is going to a large company necessarily going to get you the best price, or even a good price. You are better off having a bidding war for your minerals. The top bidder may already own minerals in the same Section and want to increase the holding. This is a reason why people use auction sites which have so many buyers.

Get a bidding war going between Viper, Tumbleweed or Pegasus and a couple smaller buyers like Permico, Robbins or CrownRock.

Thanks for the information!

I’ve heard of all of those except Robbins. Who is that?

Robbins is a small shop. Honest pricing, fair dealings, and easy to work with. Sold some small stuff and the process was a breeze. They took care of everything.
