Lately, I have received a number of letters wanting to purchase my mineral and royalty interest. We have a number of other wells in this same abstract, however, this is the only one they appear to be interested in. I am assuming they have some information I am not aware of.
Be very careful about any deed language as it is likely to be comprehensive and acquire all of your minerals within the abstract (or even the county), regardless of citing the unit.
We have mineral royalty interest in LaSalle Co, TX. It is pretty hot and heavy over there right now in the Eagle Ford Shale. We had a few, very low ball offers the past couple years but glad we did not sell. Our property value has increased twice this year and once last year. Your property has most likely been targeted for development in the near future. Have you checked the TX RRC Map and ShaleXP Map? These maps will show well activity and the value of your royalty interest, respectively. We are hoping to receive DO’s in the near future but it’s just a waiting game right now.
