We have a lease with EOG in LaSalle County. They leased for 3 years with the option for 3 more years. In the first 3 years they did not drill. We received a bonus check the first 3 years and the second 3 years. The second 3 years they drilled and now we are getting royalty checks. We've had good luck and are please with EOG. It will be interesting to see what happens at the end of the second 3 year lease.

Just FYI, unless you have an unusual lease, if a well is producing within the 3 year extension, there will be no "end of the second 3 year lease" until cessation of production. The lease would be held by production.
I kind of thought that. That is fine with me.
