The last production RRC is showing was in July 2019. Since Pioneer completed it in 2013, there were three other operators before EOG took over in April 2020, apparently as part of the Gaines/Dawson County acquisition they made from J. Cleo Thompson. In the 5+ years that well produced, it only made a total of 4,260 barrels of crude and 7,944 mcf of gas.
Since it’s been shut-in for years and appeared to be the only well that ever produced in that unit, the only way I could picture EOG still controlling that acreage is if the old Pioneer leases allowed for years of low shut-in royalty payments.
