Encroachment on land outside of right of way

I have a right of way agreement that allows for a 50 foot right of way for gas lines related to the Marcellus gas. After the lines were installed I noticed the land used by the company was in some cases as much as 30 feet over the 50 feet allowed in the agreement. How can I place a value on the temporary work space the company had taken without asking? They have removed a few large trees in this process as well.

First, as you know, they are in Trespass. What does your easement say about tresspass?

The easy way to compute is to figure everything on an acreage basis. Total acres consumed times net price per acre paid. Then a penalty of 35% or some such number. If they are still out there, have the sheriff there and when they get off, have them arrested.
