Heard some new drilling and planned drilling in Wilkinson and Amite Counties in MS.
What is the going rate for leases in EFP? I have an off ER of $250 per acre for 3 yr lease with 2 yr option at $250. Royalty is 1/5. Thoughts?
Sounds in line with what the average going rates in East Feliciana and Wilkinson Co. area
Got info from several landmen that the reason leasing of mineral rights in East Feliciana parish is not as hot as in other areas in TMS is due to the restrictions on road use by the parish. One would think with the long range increase in funds for the parish by the drilling and production of oil/gas wells it would be in the interest of the parish to welcome drilling in the parish. Not very good long range planning!
Any new info as to what leases are going for in the East Feliciana parish area?
